Port Tarakohe

The only boat club in the bay, run by volunteers at Port Tarakohe: sailing, fishing and social events. 2026-2027 memberships are now open (the season runs 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027). What's on: regular social nights, Sunday Sailing from October to April, Have-a-go days for local schools, Youth foundation courses, and Boating Education courses for anyone wanting to up-skill. Most social events are advertised on the club's Facebook page, so follow it to stay up to date. Members get free Sunday sailing (October to April), the members-only kitchen and bar, discounted Port Tarakohe boat ramp cards, member discounts on courses, competitions and social events, and 20% off club hire.
